Castlereagh Feeds has researched the requirements of performance horses for over 20 years. The result is Castlereagh Feeds Proteenavite- A highly palatable concentrated complete feed for Thoroughbred race horses standard bred Trotters, Pacers and Sporting horses.
Proteenavite’s steam rolled and oil enriched grain mix is formulated to maximise the potential and reduce the recovery period of performance horses in full work.
Castlereagh’s own field studies in thoroughbred race horses show a recovery rate of 48 hours in most cases.
Proteenavite‘s unique vitamin and mineral mix is formulated to maximise the potential of performance horses by opening up the capillary arteries for maximum blood flow, more blood equals more performance. Proteenavite gives sustained energy, high performance and rapid recovery after hard work.

Feeding Requirements:
For best results we do not recommend feeding high grain diets to growing horses, we recommend Castlereagh Stud & Brood pellets.
Suggested feeding rates should be used as a starting guidline. Adjust the feeding rate to a level that will support the desired growth rate, body condition and energy level.
Change to this feed from other equine products gradually over a 5 to 7 day period.
DO NOT cut this feed with oats or other grains unless more than 4kg of grain is required.
DO NO overfeed or offer this product on a free choice basis.
DO NOT feed more than 0.5% of the horses body weight in grain ration at any one time.
Divide grain ration into 2 or more feedings per day.
Maintain a regular feeding schedule.
Provide fresh, clean water, plain salt and adequate forage at all times.
DO NOT allow hot exercised horses free access to water until they have cooled out.
Additional supplements are not required except on vetinary advice.
