Proteenavite Edge is a highly flexible feed that can be fed with oats or other more expensive mixed feeds, by feeding just 4Kg you meet and exceed all the NRC vitamin and mineral requirements for horses in intense work.

We believe less is more that is why we steam then roll our barley and corn this ensures increased enzyme activity and guarantees gelatinisation of starches.

We also gently steam, then pellet our protein sources (including soy) to produce our unique premium protein pellet. This process unlocks valuable protein and destroys Trypsin Inhibitors. Trypsin is one of the major protein digesting enzymes.

We choose cold pressed canola oil because the crushing and extraction process used produce very little change to the fatty acid profile and the nutritional qualities of the oil. Our super premium vitamin and mineral premix is one of the most complete on the market.

Feeding Requirements:

For best results we do not recommend feeding high grain diets to growing horses, we recommend Castlereagh Stud & Brood pellets.
Suggested feeding rates should be used as a starting guidline. Adjust the feeding rate to a level that will support the desired growth rate, body condition and energy level.
Change to this feed from other equine products gradually over a 5 to 7 day period.
DO NOT cut this feed with oats or other grains unless more than 4kg of grain is required.
DO NO overfeed or offer this product on a free choice basis.
DO NOT feed more than 0.5% of the horses body weight in grain ration at any one time.
Divide grain ration into 2 or more feedings per day.
Maintain a regular feeding schedule.
Provide fresh, clean water, plain salt and adequate forage at all times.
DO NOT allow hot exercised horses free access to water until they have cooled out.
Additional supplements are not required except on vetinary advice.
